Secretive Tilda mini

Wow, what a busy day! It is nice to sit down at my desk with a cup of my favourite tea and post this little project that I've had on my desk for a couple of days.

This is Secretive Tilda - in 'normal' size and also mini.  I've made something a little bit different than my standard 6 x 6 square card. I've made an envelope and matching insert.

This pic is of the little mini Tilda. She is coloured in Copics and cut out with a small Nestie Oval.

And here is the entire envelpoe and the card to go inside. I saw one of these on a blog in my travels and went WOW - I have to try that! But unfortnuately I can't find the blog I orignially saw it on, so if it was you (or if you know who's blog it was!) please let me know so I can link back to you! The envelope measures roughly 8 x 4 inches. I've used a Doo Hickey die "Tilda's Lace" for the edge of the envelope and "Old Swedish Lace" for the card.

And here is a close up of the 'normal' size Tilda. She is one of my favourites :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Hugs

Mini Tilda with Blueberries

Hi there! Hope you are all well today :)  I have another mini to show you, lol. This is Blueberry Tilda and she's on a mini pizza box. My friend Kellie has been making these cute boxes recently and I felt I needed a bit of a change from cards so the mini pizza box was the perfect size for this little cutie.

The sketch is from Just Magnolia and hAnglar stAnglar challenges. I received these beautiful Magnolia papers from my gorgeous friend Tanja for Christmas - perfect for mini Tilda with Blueberries.

I've used Magnolias Doo Hickey dies "Lovely Fence", "Berry Lace" and "Leaves" and Nestabilities Classic Circles and Lacey Circles. All layers are distressed and stitched.  I am also entering her over at Stamp with Fun for their Blue and Brown challenge.

And finally, a side view. I died the seam binding with my copics and some hand sanitiser. It is really fast and such a great way to get the colour perfectly matched to your image.

"There was a little girl

who had a little curl".... Yup, that is what this little reminds me of. She looks so sweet!  This is Tilda with Ribbon Hair from the just released You are So Special collection.

Tilda is sitting on the new "Vintage Couch", also from the You are So Special collection which is stamped on vanilla cardstock with "Old Paper" distress ink and cut using a Nestie, Label 17. I've used those gorgeous Girls Paperie papers again (from Lime Tart) and some Doo Hickey dies (Old Swedish Lace, Tilda's Lace)

There is some of that lovely Tim Holtz film strip ribbon in there and some pearls as well.  Tilda's hair was something new for me! I've not coloured such tight curls before.

All of the layers are stitched of course, and because I didnt trust myself to stitch around the couch panel, I just used my paper piercer.

I just love this new collection from Magnolia. There were so many new stamps out this time - I think I've ended up ordering most of them!

Tilda with Small Gift recycles

Ohhhh - It is Magnolia Down Under Challenges time again! This week the challenge is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! Got ya thinking? I know I was a little stumped when I first saw the challenge... but, it was fun!

I used a box that my Copic refils come in and I altered it. I opened it up, cut off the flaps and flattened it down and went to work.

The beauty of altering something relatively small is you can use scraps of paper from other projects to decorate it.  The buttons are from my Mum, the green ribbon on the tag is recycled from a parcel.

This cute little Tilda is Tilda with small gift and is from the new You are So Special collection. I made the tag by cutting a piece of card and using a Nestie Label 4 on the top to cut the shape.

I hope you have some time to pop over to Magnolia Down Under Challenges to play along this week.

Mini Tilda on her love muffin

Good morning! Well, its morning here anyway. I have another Magnolia Mini card here to share with you today. She is Tilda Carrying Birthday Cake and she is part of the You Are So Special collection. The Love Muffin is from the 2009 Love collection.

This card was helped along by using the sketch from CLP Challenges #32  and the colour combination from Magnolia-licious Challenges.

All of the colouring is by Copics. The papers are from the Kaisercraft Devonshire paper pad and the gorgeous green ribbon is from SU!  The icing on the cupcake and the green ribbon are both coated in Crystal effects.

Magnolia Mini - Tilda with Many Hearts

Good morning! I have something a little different here to share with you today... it is a card using only a mini Magnolia stamp. She is Tilda with Many Hearts and she was a part of the Winter club stamps issued before Christmas. She fits perfectly on the Magnolia Doo Hickey tag die.

My cards are usually 6x6 inches so I mad this one a bit smaller, 4x6 inches so my mini Tilda wasn't lost on the card.

The sketch is from The Shabby Tea Room and I've used my favorite Wesbters Pages minis again.

Isn't she adorable? The lacy heart was cut on my Cricut.

Tilda is coloured with Copics and all of the paper edges have been sponged with Distress Ink Antique Linen.

Dreaming of Paris

I was just having a little bit of a play with a few different ideas with this card :)

I've been itching to ink up my Eifell Tower stamp for a while, its one of those stamps that have only seen ink once or twice before (very BAD!) and I recently bought little Heartbreaker Edwin and I thought they would work well together.  The papers are Sassafrass Lass "Indie Girl" and have been sitting on my desk waiting for attention since before Christmas (very, very BAD!).  The hot air balloons are one of my favourite accessory stamps that I ink up and fill in gaps when I find the opportunity.

The distressed look of my card is something I don't do very often but these gorgeous papers and lace were just crying out for it. The paper flower behind the rose is a Magnolia Doo Hickey die "Peony Petals". The Eifell Tower is actually stamped in "Antique Linen" distress ink, then stamped over in versamark and embossed with clear powder to make it glossy. The crochet doily was a pressie from a friend and the lace is Kaisercraft.

Everything is coloured in Copics and machine stitched for fun :)

Wilma comes out for a play

Its time! Its time! Magnolia Down Under Challenges are back from our little holiday! We're all refreshed and ready to go with a wonderful year of challenge planned for you.

This week we have a great sketch to play with by our very own Karen.  I thought I would let little Tilda and Edwin have a small holiday of their own this week and I inked up the cute Wilma instead. I have had this little puppy for almost a year now and she's only seen ink once ... isn't that bad? She is just too cute to be ignored like that.

Karen's sketch was just PERFECT for these amazing Pink Paislee "Sweetness" papers that I've been hoarding. They are far too pretty to cover much of it up, I've used the Doo Hickey die Tilda's lace and the sentiment "a gift from the heart" as well. The ribbon is some seam binding I've coloured with pink and yellow ink to give it a bit of a tie dye affect, yup, I couldn't decide which colour I wanted to go with, hahaha.

Magnolia Stamps used: Wilma (Right Through My Heart 2010), A gift from the Heart sentiment (Right Through My Heart 2010),
Doo Hickey dies used: Tilda's Lace

Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
Hugs xx

...with a Cherry on top...

Happy New Year to you all!

I had a little bit of time to play over the last few days. I've only inked up some of my Cosy Autumn collection stamps once so I thought it was time to get some out again for a play. Tilda with Cherry basket was one of my favourites from the collection. I actually coloured this image five times... I just couldnt find the right pink to pick up the colour of the cherries on the gorgeous MME Tickled Pink papers.  Eventually I went with R 11 - 17 and I think it turned out ok. And at least now I have four spare Tilda's in various pinks and reds coloured up for later :)

The cute Cherries accessory stamp was a Christmas pressie :) and I've used Magnolia Doo Hickey dies Tilda's Lace and Berry Lace.

I have my DH home on holidays for a couple more days so I had better go and spend some family time.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
