Rose cake Tilda

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break.
Ours was very relaxing.

I spent a little time at my craft desk whipping up a little birthday card with this sweet Tilda "Rose Cake" from the Boho collection.
The papers are a bit of mix, as are the die cuts.
The card edge has been punched using a MS punch around the page set.

Little Tilda has been painted with DIs... yes I still need a lot of practice. She was stamped using Memento Summer Sky ink to give the 'no lines' look.  I've used Archers "Smooth" Watercolour paper.

I really like this stamp. I've always wanted to try a Swedish Princess cake :)

Welcome back! I am so glad to see you enjoyed the project I had to show you on Tuesday.
I will announce the winner of Day 1 at the end of the post.

I'm still busy working away making Christmas cards here :)
I have been dying to play with the adorable little scene background from the Doo Hickey club and finally had a chance to put a card together with it.

I coloured up the cute little Sitting Mary Christmas from So Jolly Collection 2009 to go with it and added quite a few other Doo Hickey cuts to embellish.

Mary is coloured with Copics and the papers are Maja Design.

Hope

Hi friends,
I am battling a virus at the moment and feeling quite crappy so this  little tag seems to be fairly appropriate to share.

These are some little mini stamps from the Pink and Blue Ribbon donation collection 2014.
I've usesd See no Evil, Hear no Evil and Speak no Evil Tildas for my "Hope" tag.

The papers are Maja Design. Lace and embellishments are from the Ribbon Girls.
Lots of Doo Hickeys used too.

Have a great day xx

Tilda som Tomte

Yep, back again. I seem to be spending a lot of time at my craft desk lately.
This is a very old Magnolia stamp from 2006 - Tilda som Tomte.  She is masked with Winter Fence from 2008 Santa collection.

I have coloured the little scene with DIs again, practice, practice, practice.
The papers are Maja Design.

A lott of Doo Hickey die cuts to embellish along with some lace and ribbon.

So another Christmas card to cross off the list! Loads more to come.

Santa/Tomte

Happy Friday the 13th. It is only 6 weeks until Christmas so I am on a bit of a roll with the Christmas cards at the moment.

This jolly fellow is Santa/Tomte from the 2007 Jul collection by Magnolia.
He has been coloured with DI Walnut Stain to (hopefully) achieve a sepia effect.

It is a little hard to see in the photo but I've stamped the background with a snowflake stamp in Versamark and embossed with white powder.

The papers are Maja Design from last year's collection.

Pinecone, pearls and flowers are from Ribbon Girl.
Sentiment is LOTV.

Die cuts are Tim Holtz, Memory Box, Doo Hickey and Go Kreate. A bit of a mix up this time.

It was a heap of fun colouring up a really old stamp, this little Santa is adorable.
I might have to get out my other older Magnolia stamps and see what I have hidden away.

xXx

In the Snow Ski Tilda

It is a dark and wet day here today, Perfect weather for crafting.
I pulled out my water colours for this card. Not something I'm 100% comfortable with and definitely need practice!  However I am fairly pleased with how this turned out.

This is In the Snow Ski Tilda from Winter Wonderland collection of 2013,
The papers are very old Basic Grey.

The card is embellished with Doo Hickey dies and Tim Holtz dies.

So a little bit of fun and obviously more practice is needed.
Ohhh, I wish I had more time up my sleeve!

Santa waiting for Christmas

Happy Friday friends,
Oh dear, another dreary day here so I thought I'd brighten it up by putting together a card.
It is quite lightly embellished, which is a bit of a change for me.
I did add some stitching and sequins for some fun.

This adorable Santa and his chimney is from 2008 Santa collection from Magnolia.
Both are coloured with Copics. I spent a lot of time trying to get some depth into the red.
The papers are Maja Design.

I hope to get back to my craft desk at some point over the weekend but I have an assignment that is due soon so I'd probably best do that...

Until next time!

Snowy Cottage

Hello friends,
Well.. today I didn't feel like doing much at all, no housework, no studies, nope, nothing. So I sat myself down at my craft desk for a little while and coloured in a cute little Magnolia stamp "Snowy Cottage" from the Waiting for Christmas 2014 collection.

I have had a bit of a play with some of the amazing new dies from the Doo Hickey club too. They are just lovely. I think my favourite has to be the gorgeous snowflake.

The card is cut into a circle free hand and to disguise the rough edges I distressed them and added a border cut from a Doo Hickey die. The papers are Maja Design.
Image is coloured with Copics markers.

This was a fun card to put together on a rainy day. I wish I could get away with a few more 'crafting' days but something tells me the never ending washing and housework generated by two little boys won't allow that!

Thanks for dropping by today
xx

Frosty's Hat

Good morning everyone, I have a little project to share with you today.
This is a little top hat that I made "Frosty's Hat".

I have used Doo Hickey dies to create and decorate the hat and one of the adorable new stamps from this year's Christmas collection, A Lovely Christmas.

My hat was inspired by a Halloween hat that I saw on another blog this week, Lemoncraft.
Tilda is coloured with Copics

Pearl strand, mini pine cone and twine are from The Ribbon Girl.
The lace is Websters and the ribbon is Stampin Up.

If you would like to see how I made my little hat, there will be a tutorial on the Magnolia DT blog later :)

Until next time, happy crafting!

Fall Stamp Club

Here we are again, another Friday.
My boys are back at school this week and it has been very quiet here at home, Lolly and I are missing them immensely. We are very much looking forward to this afternoon when they're home for the weekend.

I finally have a card to share with you using the beautiful stamps from Magnolia's fall stamp club. Pauline has outdone herself yet again! This beautiful little Tilda is from the club, masked together with the Christmas tree stamp from .... 2013 Winter Wonderland I think? I can't be 100% sure, time is flying by.

I have also used some of the dies from the Doo Hickey club vol 7 and vol 2. Along with some Doo Hickey dies from
The papers are Kaisercraft - very bright and cheerful.

Tilda is coloured with Copic Markers, as is the background.
All edges of the papers are inked in DI Old Paper.

So.... there we have it. Another Christmas card finished for the year. Three down..... several more to go! I will undoubtedly be back with more in the coming weeks. The stamps are just far too adorable not to sit and colour.

Until then, happy colouring!

Truth, Sincerity, Dedication

Happy FriYay everyone,
well..  last day of school holidays over here and boy, we have managed to have a lovely time together.

I have a new card to share with you today which features Ninja Edwin from the Sakura collection. He is soo cute. My husband and boys are all into Jujitsu so this was one stamp I just had to have.

He has been paired with some lovely Basic Grey papers "Serenade". The sentiment says "Makoto" which means Truth, Sincerity, Dedication.

Well... that is about it from me today, I received the Magnolia stamp club in the mail so I can't wait to have a little play with those over the weekend.

Until next time,
Kylie xx

Only 3 months to go!

Ahhhh .... last day of school for my boys today! We now have two weeks off.
It has been a super busy term and they are both exhausted and looking forward to some quiet days.

I had a little play with another Christmas card over the last few nights. It is a fairly simply one but I am happy with how it turned out.  Can you believe that as of today there is just three months to Christmas? phew.... it is going to just speed by.

The card base is cut with Doo Hickey dies and both Tilda and the Bull finch are from the So Jolly 2009 collection.

All of the pretty embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl.

The second layer is embossed with Swiss Dots embossing folder and all edges are inked with DI Antique Linen. The pretty Poinsettia banner die is from Memory Box.

Tilda is coloured with Copics. The sentiment is from Penny Black.

I have another card up my sleeve to share in a few days but I can't share it yet. I will hopefully have something else to play with on my desk soon. We'll see :)

I hope you get a chance to play at your craft desk this weekend!
See ya - Kylie x

Unwrapped Tilda

What is this? A Christmas card already?
Sorry about that :) I had this adorable little stamp sitting on my desk so had to make a card with her.
She is Unwrapped Tilda from the 2009 So Jolly Collection.   I have masked the Snowy Circle from the So Snowy collection 2009 in a pale blue ink. Tilda is coloured with Copics.

The button twine, bells and ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl.

The papers are a mix off a few scraps I had laying around. I've used a few doo hickey dies as well to embellish.

I spent a bit of time in my craft room on the weekend organising it a bit so hopefully that means I will be inspired to craft a little more :)
Until then, happy crafting!

Bohemian Peony Tilda

Hello crafty friends,
I'm back to share a pretty pink card with you today.

I've used this adorable new Tilda, Bohemian Peony Tilda from the Boho collection. She is paired with loads of beautiful Ribbon Girl goodies and a new paper pad from Kaisercraft. I love the pretty pink with teal and green.

I masked Tilda and stamped this lovely script stamp behind her.  She has the most beautiful hair.
The entire new Boho collection is gorgeous.

I hope you get a chance to get stampy soon!
Hugs Kylie

Floating away

Its Friday friends :)
I had my eldest home from school today with yet another virus. This winter we seem to have had our fair share of the germies being spread around at school.  It gave me a good chance to have a sit at my desk and colour while he played on the computer.

This sweetie is one of the new stamps from Magnolia's Boho Collection. I am not sure of her name as yet but I am sure we will see a pre-release sale come up very soon.

I have masked her onto the "Flower Cloud" from the With Love 2013 collection.  The images are coloured with Copics and the background was sponged with Memento Sky ink.  Previously I was sponging my backgrounds with Distress Inks, but I found that it was smudging the Memento that I used to stamp the image, making the background all murky so I've moved across to Memento to do the background as well. Once upon a time I would have coloured the background with Copics as well, but I use so much expensive Copic ink doing so. Sponging is more economical.

The papers are Maja Design "Coffee in the Arbour".
All of the embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl.

There are a few Doo Hickey dies used in the card too.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of this gorgeous collection, if the stamp club is a teaser, we're in for some beautiful stamps.

I hope you get a chance to do some craft this weekend! I have a few more stamps sitting on my desk which are calling for some attention.
Until next time, happy crafting xx

Happy Sunday friends,

I have used two older Magnolia stamps from A Little Yummy collection of 2009 masked together.

The image is coloured with Copics and the papers are Kaisercraft.

Until next time, happy crafting xx

All things grow better with love

What's this? A water coloured image? wow, yes it has been a little while since I did one of these. And I am waaaay out of practice. It was kind of fun though so expect to see me practicing a bit more :)

The new Magnolia stamp club arrived in my mail box yesterday. The new stamps are so cute! I couldn't wait to ink up this little beauty.  I've masked her with a background stamp from Butterfly Dreams 2011, Stone Path, I thought the pretty flowers went well together.

The papers are new from Kaisercraft, Botanicals. I do love a lavender and green combo.
All of the embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl.

A little close up of my kind of rough painting..... lots of practice is needed.... so watch this space!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week xx
